In the early 1990’s, shortly after I moved to Los Angeles, I was fortunate enough to find J. Tamar Stone (Hal's daughter). Tamar remained my primary therapist and Voice Dialogue facilitator for years. After years of inner work and of studying all of Hal & Sidra’s books, I began training to become a Voice Dialogue Facilitator. Eventually I co-facilitated workshops with Tamar as well as with Martha-Lou Cohen and other highly talented senior staff members.

I periodically offer workshops in Montreal and Los Angeles. I also train other psychotherapists on how to integrate Voice Dialogue in their practice. I am certified in EMDR and I am a part of the Trauma Resiliency Model community where Tamar and I are offering trainings to integrate Voice Dialogue to the TRM community. While I use Voice Dialogue in all aspects of my psychotherapeutic practice, I also specialize in trauma work and feel blessed to be of help to those who entrust me with their healing process.

Professional Background

After College my career plan to become a psychotherapist took a turn towards alternative medicines. I obtained my acupuncture degree in Montreal, Canada – my native land – in 1983. After 22 years of clinical practice in energetic medicines  and 15 or so years after having been introduced to Voice Dialogue, a very powerful dream woke me up in the middle of the night. The Dream Maker was clear and my Aware Ego agreed. I was to return to graduate school and follow the path towards licensure as a psychotherapist. Without it, my life mission would not be complete. I would not actualize who I was met to become. Six years later – in 2011 – this soul driven and profoundly awakening dream literally became reality. I obtained my license as a Marriage and Family Therapist from the State of California.

Body, Emotions, Mind and Spirit are a continuum of our life force, ranging from denser to more subtle energies, or selves. When working with clients I have an integral view of how to support them best. I use my knowledge of acupuncture, Chinese and natural herbal formulas, the many psychotherapeutic modalities used in individual and couple psychotherapy, as well as those acquired before and since the licensing process: Voice Dialogue, Trauma Resiliency Model, EMDR Human Sexuality, etc. With all of these therapeutic tools, I support my clients healing and growth process so that they can live the life they want to live. Because we all have a body and a nervous system part of my focus is on helping people be more receptive and sensitive to the language their body and selves use to communicate.

My contribution to Hal & Sidra’s work was to write my Master’s Degree Thesis on the interconnectedness between the Yin-Yang theory and Voice Dialogue: “Reclaiming Voice Dialogue Within The Depth Psychology Tradition: A comparative Study with Yin-Yang energetic Theory”.
