For me Voice Dialogue is a profound system of listening – not just to words – but to the raw material of who we are. Becoming able to shift consciously between the many voices at play seems to me the most liberating skill of the inner life, and carries with it an honoring of all that may wish to speak. Suddenly we have choices where before there were none and an inner compass where before there was an outer dependency.
In my work I regularly see Voice Dialogue improve relationships, deepen self acceptance, open doors on the dream process, and enable ever deeper levels of “feeling into” life, rather than merely thinking it. Deceptively simple, it is one of the most enlightening practices I know.
There are other practices and experiences that I also find relevant. For me Voice Dialogue is a preferred form of a broader set of practices I have come to refer to as “Character Shifting”. Currently I am doing my Masters at the Australian Film Radio and Television School on the relevance of Character Shifting to writing, acting and directing for the screen.
I have completed two Voice Dialogue training programs with Drs Hal and Sidra Stone, the first in 1999, and most recently an advanced training in 2009. I continue to process and learn directly from Hal and Sidra whenever possible.
In Bondi Beach Sydney I maintain a small and focussed Voice Dialogue practice as an enriching adjunct to my increasing focus on writing, film and business. I may be reached by email, dbolliger@me.com, or by skype, "davidbolliger".

| My tertiary education spans medical science, fine arts, design, film, video and psychology. My professional history is one of entrepreneurial creativity including full responsibility for multimillion dollar projects. I have done business in Australia, Japan and the USA. I have made two short dramas, written and recorded original songs, published an educational book on photojournalism and directed dozens of medical video productions. I have directed independent theatre, taught Voice Dialogue to acting teachers and have specialist skills in mentoring and team building. I have written and sold two patents, and I have built two companies. In my twenties I worked as professional hang glider pilot and retain a great love of adventure. |
